I also spent an extremely long layover at the airport in Montego Bay (I was enroute to Cuba). As the plane flew towards the island, the sea was a beautiful crystal blue that you don’t ever see in American waters. I was discouraged by the torrential rain storm that followed as well as the fact that ever tourist that entered the airport had almost all areas of hair on their bodies covered in beads. I have no desire to go back to the island.

I spent a really long time at the airport surrounded by bad food and rude people. The mountain view from the airplane was pretty cool.

I spent two months in Havana during the summer of 2001. There is no place like it on earth. The food wasn’t so great in the city, but Los Cubanos really know how to live life! Not a lot of people speak English real well. I have to go back soon!
