Sedona, Sedona

Untitled

My best friend and I had just become new moms and we needed a way to get back in touch with ourselves as individuals and not just ‘mommies’ so we decided to take an extended weekend trip when the boys were a year old. We flew from the Bay Area to Phoenix and then headed to Sedona for a long weekend of shopping, hiking and spa-ing!

The sunsets are AMAZING and the sky is like some miracle painting. Go for the ability to get away from all the city lights, noise and technology-a great way to unwind.

Main Street Coffee And News, Old Town

This use to be a corner grocery store...

my grandparents owned it in the 1970’s… i use to play behind the counter and help stock the shelves. I’ve been back since it was turned into a bookstore and I love it! My granma was a voracious reader and i know she would love the books, coffee and comfortable feel of this place.

Northern Cali vs So Cal

I spent 14 years in the Bay Area and have been in the LA Metro area for the past 7 years and I have to say the Bay Area is the place to be. The variety – big cities, nature, sophisticate society and hippie society all merged into an area you can travel in a 2 hour span. In SoCal – it’s all about trendy stuff – no history, all cookie cutter what’s “hot” copy cats. Don’t get me wrong, So Cal has some beautiful area’s and offers culture of a different sort, but for me the Bay Area will always be my idea of the Perfect California Dream.
