Not much going on in the way of interesting hotels.

Some great seafood restaurants.

A few cool streets with cafes and bars, but when I saw “a few”, I mean, like, 2.

The Citadel is awesome.

It is very Irish – you know, plucky, a little unrefined, but the people are really great, but I’m told not to get them drunk and angry.

One of the most beautiful places on earth is the Osa!

Here is what I reccomend for the Osa:

Stay at Lapa Rios – Open air bungalos set in idyllic foilage, plams and flowers teeming with Tucans, Aracari, Parrots, Butterflies, Hummingbirds, and monkeys…and one of the most beautiful views in the world!

Take a day tour to “swim with the dolphins” in the Golfo Dulce. Do a little snorkeling and then tour around one of the most pristine, beautiful Sounds in the world. 90% sure dolphins will come swim around the boat and you can even jump in the water with them.

Stay a night or two at the end of the road at Corcavado Tent Camp. Right on the beach and only a few mintues walk from one of the most densely populated jungles in the world. Take a tour of the Corcavado with a guide and do some swimming / boogie boarding in the ocean. Great food here in the middle of nowhere! Down-side: there isn’t any hot water at the showers and the bathrooms are seperate from the tent accomodations, but its worth it to be on the edge of nowhere for a few nights, and a cold shower feels good with all the heat and humidity there.

Well, this time it’s OSA for me.

Looking for big cats, monkeys and fantastically painted birds!

The first time I went to Prague I drove into the city on a dreary, cloudy evening. I mistook the place for some dark ages plague colony. It was depressing beyond beleif. The next morning I awoke early and walked out over one of the bridges on the river as the sun rose and the city turned into one of the most magical jewels on this earth filled with beauty and happiness…and sexy czech girls…later that night I went to this little bar in some basement where they passed joints around and I met this beautiful czech model who was sitting waiting for her friend. We got along quite well and after some heavy petting she told me she was only 17 and still in high-school. I swear to god she looked about 21 or 22. She had to run to catch her train because if she didn’t get home by midnight her mom would get angry.

One day I was driving on the freeway from Prague to Vienna Austria and approaching Bruno. There was a horrible storm approaching and this guy was just riding his bicycle in the slow lane of the highway like it was a normal thing to do. Later on as I approached the Austrian border, pretty much in the middle of nowhere, I saw a field next to the road with a mixture of scantily glad czech girls and men dressed in Armani suits standing around their black BMW’s smoking ciggarettes.

Just been to Tikal – this place will blow your mind!

The legacy of British Sea Power was kind to Belize.

This is one of the most odd countries in the entire world!

A strange mix of Mestizo, Garifuna, Middle Eastern, Chinese and Mennonite cultures all living together in a little tropical paradise. No war or civil war becuase it was a British protectorate for forever and nobody ever wanted to piss the Brits off and have their gun-ships show up in their bay because they looked at Belize the wrong way.

If you go, you MUST stay at Victoria House on Ambergris Key. Belize is a very expensive place, so if your going to pay top dollar, you may as well stay at one of the best places on the beach!

My heat hurts every time I think of you…

I think there are more Europeans and South Americans in Miami now than Americans…and that’s not a bad thing…

I’m craving a pastie just thinking about this place.
