Ireland

Worth visiting!

IRELAND IS AMAZING!

Ireland is so cool. You can tell as soon as you step into the Irish air that this nation is like no other. I’ve never met friendlier people than the Irish. Everything about the country is beautiful. Went to Dungarvan, Waterford, and Blarney and then drove through the middle of the country to Dublin, stopping at the Rock of Cashel. In Dublin went to Trinity College and Croke Park and toured the city. Definitely one of my most favorite cities. Visited an Irish farm and witnessed the kindness of the people first-hand. Ate wild blueberries in a bog and got all dirty jumping in peat on the 4th of July. Best Independence Day ever! I’ll be pulling peat out of places I didn’t Know I had for years to come!

London

Worth visiting!

A review of this place: London Town

THIS CITY IS UNBELIEVABLE! There’s no other city on earth like London. It simply can’t be beat. I did everything there. Changing of the guards, Tower of London, London Eye—you name it! London has everything. There’s all kinds of people on the streets. It’s like a universe in itself. It’s foreign and familiar. Everybody should visit London some time in their life.

Wales

Worth visiting!

Why I want to go to this place

I’m flying to London tomorrow. I should be in Wales by the end of the week. Just incase it happens I know how to say Mae defad wedi bwyta fy mrechdanau!, which means, “A sheep has eaten my sandwiches!” I can’t wait to hear people speaking Welsh. I’ve heard it a few times before and it’s a beautiful language. Cymru, here I come!

Kennywood Park

Worth visiting!

Kennywoodisbetterthancedarpointsixflagsbuschgardensandallotherparkscombined

KENNYWOOD IS THE BEST PARK EVER! No other park on earth can beat Kennywood, no matter what. It’s just impossible. It can’t be done. Everybody loves Kennywood. I love Kennywood. If anyone has ever gone to Kennywood and had a bad time, it’s their fault. It would take days to write everything that makes Kennywood so great. Everybody should visit it and see for themselves.

Ankarana

Why I want to go to this place

Am I really the only one who’s ever heard of Ankarana? The Ankarana Plateau is a mountain range composed of razor-sharp limestone pinnacles in northern Madagascar. The mountain range encompasses something like a 15-mile long area and, due to erosion, a system of caves and underground rivers runs through the underlying rock. I heard about it on NOVA a while back. Enclosed back the mountain range is an area full of dense forests and plants and animals found nowhere else in Madagascar, including a species of blind shrimp and the world’s only species of cave-dwelling crocodiles. Because the mountain range itself is so inaccessible, the only way into Ankarana is through the caves. Ankarana is one of the remotest places on earth and is devoid of touristy resorts. The really aren’t even any towns in Ankarana, only a number of locals. Their folklore is full of stories about the cave-dwelling crocodiles. It’s such an awesome place; I can’t believe no one else wants to go there.

Tibet

(in China)
Why I want to go to this place

I read Seven Years in Tibet by Heinrich Harrer about a year ago and the book was so amazing. The story seems impossible. Since then, I’ve done a lot of research about Tibet and I just started reading Lost Horizon by James Hilton (I know it’s fiction, but how could I resist?). I did some research into Shambhala and the myth (or a metaphor for something deeper maybe?) sends chills down my spine. I realize Tibet must have changed dramatically after the Chinese invasion (FREE TIBET!), but to me it still seems like one of the world’s wildest, most remote, unconquered places. They’re preconceived ideas but true in some respects.
