Greece

(in Europe)

Worth visiting!

A review of this place

Greece places number one on my list of favorite places on earth. It is a starkly beautiful country with so many millennia of history it cannot be comprehended. The people have a love affair with life. In fact, it seems like the entire country is constantly celebrating nothing. They’re just happy for happiness’ sake. You haven’t lived till you’ve gone to Greece.

France

(in Europe)

Worth visiting!

Untitled

There’s just something about Paris that’s surreal, just beyond your reach. It’s that feeling you get when you know you’ve stumbled upon something truly marvelous. Sure, it seems like Parisians are constipated, but don’t let that fool you. They truly are wonderful people, and they don’t hate Americans like every American would like to believe. Paris is a beautiful city that I’d go back to any time.

Italy

(in Europe)

Worth visiting!

A review of this place: Bell'Italia

Italy is a country where it’s easy to lose yourself. From the moment I stepped off the train, Italy felt like home. The people, the lifestyle and the atmosphere of the country are all comforting. You can travel free of worries and grow more in mind and spirit. And I will never forget Andrea’s family in Spinea who took me in and made my journey extra awesome. Italy broadened my worldview that much more, and for that I am truly grateful.

The Moon

Worth visiting!

Beware, Earthlings!

I am warning you now of the plot to invade Earth and destroy the human race currently being formulated by the reptilian aliens based on the dark side of the Moon who have been closely observing and monitoring the Earth for the last six millenia. They will one day lay waste Earth and mankind, and climatically transform the world into a chilling, dark desert wasteland. Our cities, seas, and terrain will all be buried by the sands of time, and intelligent life will cease to exist. The impetus behind such a scheme is classified information at the moment, but action must be taken now to prevent our demise!

Scotland

Worth visiting!

The first time I went to this place

Scotland is an ancient land. To hear the bagpipes belching out notes across the sharp crags and green glens makes me shiver. The land looks scarred by its prehistoric past, like the mountains are continuously thrusting themselves upward against the deep layers of time. Nowhere else in the world have I seen such a variation in terrain in such a small geographic area. The people are also welcoming and proud of their heritage. And looking back on it now, I probably crossed paths with a number of my distant relatives. No matter where it is in Scotland – the city, the lowlands, the highlands – I feel connected with the people, the past, and my ancestral roots.

Montreal

Worth visiting!

A review of this place: Montreal est incroyable!

Montreal is like where America and Europe meet. It’s an amazing city – amazingly cosmopolitan, lively, beautiful. I saw and did soooo much. By the end of one week, I could easily converse with people in French, even use some mad French-Canadian lingo I learned. Crossing the border into Quebec from New York, it’s a totally different place. The layers of French, British, American, and immigrant influence make Montreal a jewel. Oh, yeah! Can’t forget Chinatown. Awesome! And a little joint called Pizzadelic – cool atmosphere, spicy sausage.

New Zealand

What I want to do at this place

Don’t you ever think it’d just be awesome to be an adrenaline junkie? And what better place for that than New Zealand?!

Andy Warhol Museum

Worth visiting!

The last time I went to this place

It’s got some weird things and some interesting things and some funky things and some bizarre things and some beautiful things and other amazing things. From what I saw, Andy Warhol was quite an interesting person. The best exhibit was (of course) Silver Clouds.

Wales

Worth visiting!

Untitled

Wales has by far the most beautiful and unearthly terrain I’ve ever seen. Snowdonia is undescribable. The landscape looks like something from the video game Shadow of the Collossus. And most anyone you meet will swear the Welsh are a different race from the English. Went to Cardiff and Fishguard, took a ferry to Ireland, came back to Holyhead. From there went to Bangor, Llandudno, Conwy, and all through Snowdonia. I rappelled off Penrhyn Castle and did some work chopping down and burning rhododendrons in Snowdonia. Rhododendrons aren’t a native species and basically cause havoc and destruction to the environment because Wales has the ideal climate for them. Drove through little villages all named after happenings in legends from long ago. In the valleys and tucked-away hamlets of northern Wales myth is regarded as truth. And if you saw the landscape and learned the region’s history a bit you’d see what I mean.
