I’m going to California for the first time in June for work, but I’m probably not going to get to go here. I’m not taking it off the list, though. Maybe I will figure out how to swing it.

I really wish I could go to the world cup. But nobody wants to go with me. And I’m poor.

I stayed in the City Centre at Jesus College while in Oxford, but the East side is very happenin’ as well. I love the young, vibrant feeling of this city. It is very dynamic and energentic.

We stayed in Brookline, which is a really cute neighborhood and becoming pretty expensive. It reminded me of Northwest DC, like on Connecticut Avenue. Lots of big, stone apartment buildings and retail here and there. TONS of Asian restuarants of all persuasions and bagel shops, too.

I loved the North End with all the Italian places. People in the neighborhood were very friendly and authentic Boston as you can get. We went up the Prudential Tower which is a great place to take pictures of the city. Harvard is also worth visiting. Oh, and the Sam Adams brewery was fun, but I’ve never been to any other brewery to have a comparison.

I’m going here for Thanksgiving with my friend who’s in med school in Georgia. We only have a few days, but I am really excited!

Go in August!

I am completely inept at outdoorsiness, but the caving all over Kentucky (especially South-Central) is spectacular. Huge caverns and amazing formations. Then you can jump in the freezing cave river or spring to wash off all the cave dust!
