Eastern State Penitentiary, Fairmount

Untitled

I stopped here about a week ago because of all the stories I had heard about it on TV. Especially about how it’s one of the most haunted places in America. The place is huge and very intimidating. From the outside it looks like a medieval castle. I thought the prison was cool because there is a central hub inside with 7 hallways that branch of it (which has all the cells lining them). The place is falling apart in some places with dry wall lying on the floors. It was a cool place to visit and i might be back later this year when the place is open til midnight to search for some ghosts.

Salem Witch Museum, Washington Square

Untitled

I was very disappointed in the Salem Witch Museum. It’s like 7 bucks a person for basically nothing. All that happens is they put you in a dark room with manikins in scenes on the walls. The story about the Salem Witch trials are told and that’s it. It took about 10 minutes and that was the whole show. I thought it was a museum with actual artifacts and such. Boy was I wrong! Definitely not worth visiting!

New York City, New York State

Untitled

I went to New York City for 3 days a week ago on the very day of the steam pipe expolosion, of which I did see the smoke billowing into the air. New York in my mind is the greatest city I have ever been to. Just walking the streets gives you a feeling of enormous energy. I was surprised to see just how big the city is. It’s huge. Of course I visited all the tourist sights (times square, statue of liberty, etc.) all the way. New York is just a great city with so much life to it. I will definetly be back soon.
