I’ve been here in august, which obviously is not the prettiest season for Madeira. But still I found it a very beautiful island, with a width varienty of plants, animals and habitats. And in august the island is not crammed with grandpa’s and grandma’s, actually not with a lot of people at all. It’s a good place for people who like to take a (sometimes difficult) hike in the nature.

Who can resist the city of love ? Too many nice places to see, you probably know all the big ones, but visit also e.g. Jardin Du Luxembourg, such a nice quiet park in the middle of the city.

Nice reconstructed and repainted old center. Outside the center the old communistic, gigantic appartementflats are a pain to the eye. Just visit the old center.

The city has enough to see, but don’t forget the surroundings. There is some fabulous nature just outside Helsinki. And don’t forget to visit some clubs at nights, the people there love foreigners. But be sure to do that in the summer, because in the winter their love is over and they are all grumpy.

I was there two years ago for a day and I have no intention of going back. This place is too clean and has not atmosphere.

It is a nice fountain, but there are too many people and also to many salesman always around.

Beautiful original pictures, but make sure to make a telephonic reservation or else you are going to wait two hours in queue.

Very crowded city, but soo much culture to see like your brain is going to blow out! Suggestion: make a telephonic reservation to visit the Ufici, the saves you two hours in queue.

No questions asked, just go there !

Nice little town with a winding river running through it. Visit the castle (nice guided tour) and definitely try one of the many restaurants at the water line. You can also take a cannoo trip down the river.
