I was born and raised here, so to be honest, I’m getting sick of the place HOWEVER, if I was visiting – yeah, it’s worth it. Toronto is the 4th largest city in North America and the most ethnically diverse in the world. It’s worth visiting for the food alone. I suggest getting off the usual Tourist streets (Yonge/Queen) – visit the neighbourhoods, visit the islands, visit the parks VISITTHEZOO! I lived in London, England for 3 years and their zoo didn’t hold a candle to ours! If you come in the summer, there’s something going on every week. Be prepared for extremes of heat in the summer and cold in the winter, and if you’re lucky enough to catch us during the 6 weeks of Spring and Autumn – well, that’s nice too.

My mother is Dutch and our family lives in and around Amsterdam. Wonderful city – you can see all of it by foot! You can avoid the most obnoxious tourists by bypassing the red-light district and “cafes”. So much history!

My husband is Welsh. It’s nice and small. I hate to use the word "quaint’ but… I loved hearing people speak Welsh on the street. Everyone was friendly. I’m not much for drinking but if you are, this is the place for you.
