I’ve visited both sides (as a tourist, not as a citizen of either country) and I preferred the view from the Canadian side. You can see all the falls from that side! If you actually want to experience the water and the mist, the US side is better but then you can always get the boat ride from the Canadian side!

PS: I proposed to my (now wife) while on the Maid of the Mist. It is an amazing experience. The roar of the water is deafening and you will get absolutely soaked, even with the plastic ponchos they hand out!

Loved it. Would definitely go back tomorrow. OK, maybe next year!

If you ever get the chance – JUST DO IT!! It’s worth it and I promise you won’t be disappointed!

I climbed it 2 years ago…it’s amazing and the view is stunning!

... but that was 15 years ago. I will let you know in Novmeber what it’s like after I’ve been back there.

I went to Paris in 1988 and have a trip booked for November this year! Can’t wait to visit this magnificent city again!

I fly out tomorrow to go to Oktoberfest for the weekend! I’m really looking forward to it!
