It’s incredible, you won’t know until you go HOW beautiful Machu Picchu is. Originally built as a holiday house for an Inkan King, it was lost until rediscovered in the 1800’s. Well worth the visit, and if you can get up early and do the trek around Huanna Picchu, the mountain in the background of the pics. If you havea fear of heights, you will WELL be over it by the time you finish the trek. Standing up on top, you get a awesome 360 degree view of the peruvian andies, the depth is just amazing. I grew up here from ages 4-17. It’s a nice quiet costal town, pop of about 5k, centrally located about 6 hours from melbourne and sydney. It’s a popular tourist destination, and has fantastic weather most of the year.
