My friend and I went to Houston to see Body Worlds 3 at the museum, and wound up staying over at an internet friends’ place, since the car we took had a completely flat tire… and every place was closed by the time we got there. To the tires’ credit, it lasted the entire way from Austin with two nails in it. I’m happy to be alive.

I had an incredible time, and I want to go back. The city itself didn’t overwhelm me, and I didn’t see much of it. But I know good people there, I hope to go back often.

Also, the museum is fantastic.

Musée D'Orsay, 7e Arrondissement

I’ve only been here once, but it is the most architercurally amazing building I have ever been in. The sheer size of the old rail station, and that beautful clock on the wall, struck me more than anything has before or since.

The exhibits were also rather amazing, beautiful statues and paintings, and when I was there in 2003 there was an amazing photographic exhibit.
