really weird surreal experience. can’t say i didn’t enjoy it, it was just really…. strange. =0l

i loved all the little shops here including the teddy bear shop.. walking around the place was so nice!! i wanted to stay much much longer..

this would have been somewhere to go without the parental units! ;0)

lovely view of HK city lights..

imagining the force of the water that carved out its path into the rock – its just amazing. the terrifying drop, the rocky edges, the crisp, clean air – a truly beautiful place.

the wind was blowing in the grass, the sky was a misty blue/grey – it was just perfect. i wanted to lie in the grass forever with my bebe…

caught the tempest here with my junior college mates. it was v v v v cool – especially when the piece of very authentic rotten and decaying fish thrown by caliban nearly landed on our teacher ;0)

i think i must have put on 10 kg just from the desserts alone.. they were so good!! all the different sesame/walnut/peanut/almond creams that i simply adore and miss whenever i’m in singapore.. the beancurd/barley/gingko nut one, omg, i’m getting hungry just thinking about it..
the dim sum is of course the best part about hongkong.
the city itself is very polluted. after a week i felt more than ready to go back to clean breathable air!
but definitely worth visiting!
note to self – please polish up on cantonese this time.

i was SO thrilled to get picked to go to hawaii this may! made so many friends at the seminar – our project was on waikiki beach. we spent more time in the sand and beach and shops then engaging in any anthropological/sociological analysis.
that said, it REALLY looks like in the movies.. so pretty!

i remember meeting many sweet old people =0)
and buying a pearl bracelet.
and that everything closed so damn early!
