My boyfriend grew up in Pittsburgh. As we drove into Pittsburgh through the tunnel and came out on the bridge over one of the rivers, he exclaimed, “There are boats on the river!” I guess when he was growing up (years ago) there were only barges and no one would put a pleasure boat in the river because it would rust out within the month because the water was that disgusting. On that day, people were water skiing.
Pittsburgh has really cleaned up its act.
