Cape Town, Western Cape

Untitled

Cape town is a great starting point to venture to other bits of Southern Africa, which is terribly easy to navigate, just some vast distances.

Best bits? Table mountain, Cape Point, V&A Waterfront, are all world class.

Where to stay? Sunflower Stop. Social, clean and near everything, had a great time there!

Downside? The water is too damn cold, sad, considering the beaches are incredible.

Helsinki, Uusimaa

Untitled

I went summer of 2003 and it was a major heatwave, which was kind of funny as they couldnt deal with it.

Loved the city, compact, clean and uniquely Finnish. Great market, but really it was the vibe of the place that worked for me.

Must say though, that Finnish food sucked, as did the service. Crikey. Believe it or not, my best meal was had at McDonalds and I am not a fan, was just desperate!

Helsinki is great and only a few hours by train to St.Petersburg and a ferry ride to many other places.

Worth Visiting!

Armidale, New South Wales

The Uni years....

Did my university at UNE. Loved the town, great location as it was central in some way to Sydney, Brisbane, the coast and those outback towns off the coast.

Will go back there someday just to check it out and see how much has changed!
