Back in 1975, my father was in the Air Force and we were stationed at RAF Lakenheath. I went to Lakenheath High School, and graduated in 1978. We lived in Woodlands Way, which is in Mildenhall. Those 3 years in England were some of the best times in my life. So many friends and stories about that time… I could write a book.

I had read about it, seen pictures and been to the website. In 2005, I got the chance to go myself. It was great. I had brought my bike, and after parking, I rode into the park area. I parked near the water, threw off my clothes and dove in – Ahhh, how wonderful and refreshing. I rode my bike naked all along the trail, stopping several times to jump in the water and cool off.

Can’t wait to go again.
