I’ll be going to Spain on Saturday! Staying mostly in Barcelona and Madrid, though I’ll also be taking some side trips. I think we’re going to Toledo, Ibiza, and one other place. I’m excited :)

Been here in my mind anyway, while reading the books

I really only want to go to San Marino because I live in San Marino (the city), California. So it’d be neat.

I don’t know much about San Marino (the country) otherwise, except that it’s extremely small and independant and European.

And all good girls like bad boys, etc. Of course, I realize I will never get that delayed invitation to join a wizarding community. But it’s fun to imagine and fantasize.

Frankly, I don’t even like the Harry Potter series very much. I object greatly to adults who view the books as anything other than nice childrens literature. But I do commend Rowling on her story-telling skills, because whatever else she may lack, she does tell one mean story. She makes it come alive, which is an amazing talent I wish I had. =)

But anyway, if I was at Hogwarts, I’d love to run to the Slytherin side. They seem so much darker and interesting that the one-sided good guys.

my favorite Batman characters are Harley and Mr. J, whose romantic (and comic) history begins at the Arkhan Asylum. Kind of.

I came for a debate tournament and stayed a few days. It’s a very interesting city. There isn’t that much in the way of a metro, but there still are fun things to do. Don’t go expecting New York or Chicago (not like anyone does, but still).

And Mormon people are not as scary as you think. Although there are quite a lot of them exiting church on Sunday. So many that the streets get clogged and cars can’t move.

But still, a nice city to visit.

I’ve gone three times so far, every time for a weekend debate tournament. I love seeing the snow and the streets and the shopping and THE PIZZA.

Chicago is a must-see. =)

I went for a weekend debate tournament. It’s a gorgeous city and I loved walking up and down the hills at night with the cold weather and the live music and the people and the constant, constant smell of coffee and cigarettes.

Seattle was wonderful.

I just purchased Pyramids yesterday, and I have to say, so far, it’s pretty damn good.

This might just reach that special spot on my Discworld list—currently occupied only by Mort and Small Gods.
