For the past few years, I’ve often thought about going to Scotland. A good portion of my ancestry hails from this wonderful land, known for its turbulent past, proud strong people and diverse landscapes.
Its been beckoning me for a while now, like a whisper in my blood, whose voice has gotten louder as I’ve uncovered my true self.

Pieces of my African soul are here, remnants of struggles yet to be overcome, of degradation, of shamed silence. Fragments of my African ancestry are here, waiting for me to claim them. Of strength and cunning, of wisdom and pride. Rebirth
