Makes you think about how horrible we can be to one another. Also makes you think about the power of the human spirit to survive. Made me re-evaluate what I thought are big problems in my life (went there right before I graduated from college). Made me appreciate my life and family. If you go, mentally prepare yourself, it’s like no other place I’ve ever been.

Visited museum with old Soviet tanks, very cool. Also went to huge outdoor flea market, bought old WWII and Soviet medals. Probably fakes, but it was fun. Wish I could have toured more and seen the ghetto museum (I’m just assuming there are some?).

I spent a semester here in college. Taught me to see what life is like as an outsider. Greater appreciation of immigrants and what they have to go through to succeed. Taught me not to be an ugly american.

very low-key. we walked everywhere. great food. we might have been the only americans around, which was educational.
