I’m excited to try out the Spenard Roadhouse the next time I’m visiting Anchorage. My friend Laile (Snow City Cafe owner) opened this with the folks from Sak’s, a downtown favorite of mine since high school. Should be awesome!

over 4 years agoA unique moonscape of lava rock leads up to and surrounds Laperouse Bay. There’s exceptional snorkeling around these parts, along the way to Laperouse via Mackena. I suggest packing a lunch and a couple chairs to sit on the lava rock … it’s refreshingly windy and gorgeous.
