Great ice cream
Excellent … for a chain. But try your regional greats first. In Detroit, that’s Alinosi’s (east side), and Gurnsey (west side). For an old-timey vibe, check out the new Sander’s in Grosse Pointe. For Detroit visitors’ sake, Sanders used to be all over Detroit, then disappeared. Good to have them back, but Alinosi’s still rules.
Cold Stone in Greektown is definitely the best ice cream downtown. [opinion]Yes, there’s a Ben & Jerry’s – it’s for people who don’t really like ice cream[/opinion].
