Civil Rights Museum, Memphis

Well worth it....

Great place for taking a tragic moment in history and turning it into something positive. The museum is a bit pricey at first glance but worth every penny with the extensive exhibits they have available. The room preserved exactly as left by MLK on the day of his death is eerie.

Gateway Arch, Jefferson National Expansion Memorial

Unbelievable achievement

I loved the arch. Standing underneath and looking hundreds of feet up at this huge piece of metal suspended over your head is impressive. The pod elevators you use to get to the observation deck are not for those with fears of enclosed spaces. The views at the top are worth the effort though.

Mount Rushmore National Memorial, South Dakota

Amazing

Rushmore is an incredible site to see. Must admit it was smaller than I thought it was going to be. Impressive accomplishment none-the-less. Only problem is parking is $8.00 and they do not take the national park passes to pay for this.
