DO NOTRELY ON STREETSIGNS. Okay, seriously. Costa Rica is gorgeous. But if you want to go somewhere, learn how to ask directions in Spanish. Also needed: The ability to understand the directions given to you in Spanish. Plus, nobody really pays attention to the stop signs and lights and such. And I don’t know about everywhere else, but there was one road feature I had never seen before, and my family called it the ‘suicide lane’. There was sometimes a lane in the middle of certain roads that was an either/or lane. At say, 1pm-4pm, the southbound traffic could use that lane. Then, from 5pm-8pm, northbound had access. Weird. And also, if you need something, go to Hiper Mas. It’s their Wal*mart.

Weirdness

Okay, I was in the airport, so I went to a gift shop. They had these little things like eggs, bird heads, huts, whatnot. When you lifted up the top, there was a little scene inside. Like, a man making boots, a woman washing a baby, all that sort of thing. And then you know what happened? I lifted up the top of the egg, and there was two little clay people getting it on! I mean having sex. Seriously. That is what happened to me. But yeah, the country is really beautiful.
