I drove down to Stone Mountain GA for Atlantafest last week… the park was more amazing that I remember!

So I can officially say I’ve been there :-)

They had the original logo… but the coffee tastes the same!

I was feeling rather blue so a friend kidnapped me and we took a roadtrip across the state to visit Bronners CHRISTmas wonderland. It was amazing!

I went to the Detroit zoo with a friend for my 21st birthday. It was very crowded (during the summer) but was enjoyable none-the-less. The train was a lot of fun to ride (we missed the polarbear exhibit the first time through) and it was definitely was good exercise to walk through all of the exhibits. I enjoy zoos so this is probably one I will visit again!

John Ball zoo may lack some of the larger animals (like giraffes) but they are still growing. I visited the zoo the day after Steve Irwin died so the Australia exhibit and sting ray area were particularly sad but they have a lot of petting areas and some really neat animals. I enjoyed its smaller size and the more personal experience. Definitely a hot spot in Grand Rapids for families.
