I’ve fallen behind in 43places: we went to Legoland in February of this year (2007) and I forgot to mark it as “visited.”

We had a great time: parents and children. As a parent the food services impressed me the most. The food quality was significantly higher & healthier than Disneyland and there were many more tables for eating at. There were many more rides appropriate for my easily-spooked 6-year old twins, and I was pleasantly surprised by how attracted they were to Miniland. We spent a lot of time in Miniland as colossal tourists! ;-)

I got my kids hooked on Legos and don’t regret it one bit! They would have a ball here - but that’s not to say I don’t want to go just for myself! ;)

Good bottomless-cup coffee and free WiFi get me there in the morning, the promise of a nice grilled sandwich on fresh-baked bread keeps me there for lunch, and more coffee and WiFi may even keep me until it’s time to pick up the kids!

I’m a pretty good mix of nationalities, but I think of myself as more Scottish than anything else. That said, I dropped my PhD dissertation on competitive bagpipe bands before getting to Scotland. I’m still determined to get there someday to experience it all!

It’s my hometown and I still love going back there. My brother (who lives in Chicago now) has been talking about moving back for years. It’s a great town whose population doubles in the summer! Certainly lots to do and see for a visitor. (I didn’t feel this way as a teenager living there, tho…)

I was a student at the Aspen Music Festival for a few summers in a row. It’s a beautiful venue for it but got more interested in the lectures at the physics institute! Easily distracted, I guess…

This is a real happening place in the middle of nowhere! An amazing mix of alternative and rural.

I’m a sucker for quaint college towns with good coffee houses!
