Moving back to Bend...Oh how I've missed it!
Bend is awesome. I lived there for 3 years and moved elsewhere 5 years ago because of school…but I’m moving back in a couple of weeks and can’t wait! Bend has awesome skiing at Mt. Bachelor…rafting on the Deschutes…fishing at any number of lakes all withing 1-1 1/2 hours drive…EXCELLENT restaurants, a great Martini Bar, the occasional concert at the ampitheater…and fantastic shopping. Yet you still have that small town feel…I go back every so often and ALWAYS end up running into someone I knew when I lived there the first time. It has a fantastic atmosphere, and everyone is very friendly…aside from all the Californians that have moved in and bought up all the property and made it astonishingly expensive…it is still a great place.
