Hung out downtown with my roommate

We had Gelato (yummmmm), drove over the new bridge (I took this picture while holding my hand out the window as we were driving, and it was very windy and I almost lost the camera!), drove by the Yorktown, and drove back over the bridge again to go home.

Fun was had (by me, at least) :)

New Orleans

Worth visiting!

I went in high school

Or maybe it was middle school? I just remember that my mom’s cousin was graduating from Loyola Law, so we all went down and spent the week.

I remember how much my sister LOVED Bourbon street (which kinda made my dad wonder about her – she’s the baby). . . how my sister bought her first mask while there, and now owns over 50. . . the taste of the beignets and the cafe au lait (somewhere I used to have a coffee mug). . .

And I don’t remember a single THING about the graduation ceremony!!

District of Columbia

I've actually already been once before

My family took a vacation there when I was in middle school (I think). I can remember the Smithsonian, and how I thought the air and space museum was WAY cooler. . . the Vietnam Memorial. . . Arlington cemetary and the incredible way they’ve lined the headstones up. . . the eternal flame for JFK. . . the time we took the subway (somewhere) nearby to meet my dad’s relatives, and we all saw a movie together (in PA??) (It was Parenthood, with Keanu and Steve Martin). . .

The more I think the more I can remember, but I am excited to be able to go again.

Charleston

Went to a Wine Tasting last weekend

It was on Boone Hall Plantation – beautiful setting, live jazz music, and LOTS of wines to taste.

But. . .

(Shhh! Don’t tell anyone!)

I don’t really care for the taste of most alcohols, including wine. . .

Still, fun was had (by me)!

I live here

Well, technically, I live in Summerville.

But I want to play tourist. Go downtown, see the nation’s oldest museum, maybe go on another ghost walk (I’ve already been on two. Both fun, both made my feet sore.) See the dungeons, go to Fort Sumter, see the Aquarium AGAIN. Walk around the battery, take photos of Rainbow Row. . .

I want to play tourist in my own city, since I can’t really afford GOING somewhere right now.

The best meal we had in Paris

The friendliest waiter, the most beautiful decor. . . and the most expensive place I’ve ever eaten in my entire life.

But I’m generally very poor, so that doesn’t mean a whole lot :)

It was hot - but fun

Long lines. . . very hot and sweaty. . .

but we had a great time :)

If I go again – I will DEFINITELY want to go later in the year so that its a little chillier – but not freezing either of course :)

The Alamo

Worth visiting!

The Alamo in San Antonio, TX

San Antonio in general was a good trip – we had a great time seeing as much as we could in the time we had.

Paris in the Springtime

I saw Paris in early March.
It snowed.
It was GORGEOUS.
