My favorite part of Niagara Falls is the Bridal Veil (the very small stream of water just to the right of the American falls when you’re looking at them from the front). It just seems so tiny, but it must be strong because it’s avoided merging with the rest of the waterfall up til now.

I can’t say I recommend doing that thing where you go “behind the falls,” because pretty much all you do is walk around in a giant iron pipe behind the water, from which you can only see the falls through small holes, and not very closely.

The glass floor is the best part of this place. As you have probably guessed, it’s a floor made of glass that you can stand on, and it feels like you’re hovering thousands of feet above the ground. I have the awful feeling that someday it will crack and a few people will die, but up til now it’s been breathtaking.

Toronto is really the greatest city in the world. It has the bustling action of New York but 100 times safer, and it’s got so many beautiful and/or interesting sites that in all my 13 years of living there, I didn’t get to see the whole city – not even close!
