Basically, anywhere is worth the visit and anywhere isn’t worth the visit because it’s the same everywhere…or so I’ve heard a thousand times from various sources. (I think it’s a cop out for people who really haven’t been anywhere.)

Things that happened during my first visit to Olympia:

-I had the flu.

-United Airlines went on strike and it took me 10 hours to get from California to Washington. They sent me to Colorado where I spent 5 hours wandering aimlessly with a 50-lb. bag full of records. (I’m a tiny lady).

-I got pink eye…in both eyes.

-I stayed in a flea infested apartment that also happened to be condemned. This apartment also contained no coffee maker.

...and, I happened to move here and I’ve been here for almost 5 years. Olympia just might be a vortex or one the best places to live for close to nothing.

It’s not worth visiting if you’re into a metropolitan lifestyle. It’s also not worth visiting because you can no longer smoke in bars.
