Oh to have been a fly on the wall when Tolkien and CS Lewis were enjoying a pint in here!

It was completely covered in scaffolding whilst restoration work was being carried out. It was built by Queen Victoria as a memorial to her husband, and is close to the Royal Albert Hall.
The work took 8 years to complete. I passed by here a couple of years ago, and did a double take when I saw the restored memorial.

Every Sunday morning, crowds gather here to listen to people speaking on whatever subjects take their fancy. It is the area of the park closest to Marble Arch. You may be inspired to have a go yourself!

A couple of mates from out of town were visiting London. We took out one of the paddle boats and enjoyed the view from mid-lake.

Had forgotten that I’d popped in here until I read AGAMUM’s entry below :)
I vaguely remember that during my time in Seattle, a beautiful tall ship was on display at the Center. Unfortunately, the day that I went to visit, the ship was not open to visitors as it was being cleaned.

Miniland is wonderful – with city scenes and landscapes built from millions of Lego bricks.
Your kids will love the rides and playing with Lego bricks in the Workshop areas.

Stunning landscapes of glaciers, waterfalls and lava flows. This is one of my all time favourite countries to visit.

It was shrouded in fog the day that we visited, having had wonderful sunshine and blue skies for every other day on our tour. “This is true Icelandic weather!” said our guide.
