Zilker is great and has something for every one.Peacefull trails through the park, beautiful botanical gardens. Playscapes designed for younger children as well as one designed for older children. Theres a nice little train ride through the park.In the summer its home to Shakesphere in the park at the Amphitheater.The annual kite festival is also held in zilker. Not to mention the outdoor concerts there.Lots of places for picnics and BBQing.

Best donuts ever anywhere even just the plain glazed ones are wonderfull used to live about 2 miles from the bakery and walk by it every morning on the way to work ,literaly smells great a mile away . Cakes are very good too best place in that area to get a cake.

Mexican hat is a pretty enough place and an ok place to stop on the way to monument valley but its pretty much a wide spot in the road there is nothing really there and only one thing of intrest. The Mexican Hat its interesting but really after you look at it for a few minutes its time to get back in the car and head on down the road.

No matter where i may go Austin will always be home. I now live in Seattle Washington which many say is better …. its not.Austin is a place you can see any thing on any given day,always accompanied by great music.And where else but Austin do they celebrate that gloomy but loveable donkey Eyores’ birthday,or throw spam at people for fun. Leslie… won’t see him any where else or at least not too far away. Great food too mmmmm whataburger is one of the things i miss most taqitoes at 2 am after bar close yummy, not to mention great burgers.lots of other great food, Stubs , ztejas want great mexican food and better ritas? Try Baby Acapulcos have a purple margarita but only if some one else is driveing. If i sat and listed all the great things about Austin, Id be here for days.So i’ll leave it with one last word.HOME
