When you go to Battle Creek, stop in at the McCamly Place Mall, right next to the downtown hotel and Kellogg Arena. They have all types of shops, including a gift shop where you can all kinds of Kellogg’s decorated knickknacks and bric-a-brac. In the evening, they have entertainment. I was there and heard a group called the Phoenix Big Band. They played, of course, big band style music. Drop by and visit, if you have the chance. McCamly Place is located in the heart of downtown Battle Creek.

The town of Haslett is noted for being the home of Lake Lansing. It has two parks with hiking trails, a boat launch, and a public beach. The band shell has concerts by local groups and musical artists performing in the summer.
