I have never seen a worse place, maybe Mexico City….maybe. Just driving through is terribly depressing to ones spirit that takes days to recover from.

This city is the armpit of the USA. It needs to be buldozzed and planted over with trees and forgotten. I used to attend races at nearby Gateway Int Raceway but stopped going as I no longer wanted to see ESTL in route to Gateway.

When you see constant references about the Zoo there consider it a warning. Omaha is profusely boring. If you are driving I-80 and have a hankering for a steak or prime rib by all means stop. They have a couple museums and a couple block old market area with a micro brewerey or two, oh yes and a minor league baseball team, other than that you can watch the corn grow, go to the mall or become un-naturally addicted to teh huskers football games to the point of needing therapy. If you are from East Jesus Iowa maybe a quilting bee or dog show is a big vacation so you might want to stop, bowling and drinking being the highlights of the visit.

To live here ?……I’d rather have hemroids removed with a chain saw. Gray windy bone chilling winters and hot humid useless summers with nothing to do but hibernate in finished out basements or the mall. I resigned from a former employer in order to avoid forced relocation to Omaha and am so glad I did.
