Cabo Frio

How this place changed my life

When I arrived it was 2006. When I left we wrote the year 2007. Unfortunately there was not so much to do at New Year’s Eve.

Arraial Da Ajuda

(in Brazil > Bahia)

Worth visiting!

Why I recommend this place to visitors

I stayed in January 2007 here and it was the best small town I visited on that trip between Rio de Janeiro and Salvador da Bahia. There is from early afternoon on free live music on the beaches and in the night beach parties. It is a small touristic town which is for my taste neither too quiet nor too crowded.

Why I recommend this place to visitors

For a short trip before or after the high season in july and august a quite good place for young people. We have just been for 2 days there. A very cool place to be is the coconut bar.

Through her I learned a lot about Brazil and was fascinating about the country. But till now unfortunately I didn’t have the occasion to go there.

Switzerland

(in Europe)

Worth visiting!

What makes Switzerland unique
  • Four spoken languages which are all official: German, French, Italian and Romansh
  • You get not only from the tap drinking water (which can compete in the quality with mineral water from shops); you also flush with drinking water
  • Very clean and quite cities
  • No big power concentration – there is no “president” like in other countries with significant higher competences than the ministers
  • Most of the highest politicians even don’t need bodyguards
  • High welfare and social security but at the same time paradoxly in European comparison over average suicide rates

Kekova

(in Turkey)

Worth visiting!

Kekova area

We reached the area by a daily boat trip from Kas. When you arrive to the Kekova area the boat slows down so that you can watch the half-submerged remains of a Lycian sunken city in the clear turquoise water. Since there has been a lot of culture goods piracy it is not allowed to swim or dive above the remains. But the boat will make several breaks in the small bays nearby so that you can swim in this beautiful clear water.

Side

(in Turkey)

Worth visiting!

Side in south Turkey

A small touristic town with historical monuments and a very nice sandy beach. The water is one of the most warmest and saltiest in the northern Mediterranean area.
