Aranjuez, Comunidad De Madrid

A place to stay for a skydiving holiday!

Aranjuez is close to Ocana, where you’ll find an air field used for various activities including skydiving. I went there to train. Many of the skydivers using that dropzone and the school there (FreeFall University) stay in Aranjuez, generally in the hotel Infantes. There’s a great bar just a couple blocks away called Cheers (wherever you go, you’ll always find a “Cheers”), also frequented by the skydiving group.

While you’re there be sure to have a good wonder around the city. The undercover market is worth a look, as are the palace buildings and the gardens. There are often events in the city, while I was there we went along to a big music festival in the plaza. We also passed an open air stage near the market so there’s plenty of free entertainment.

There are also plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants to check out, and good tapas.

Courmayeur, Valle d'Aosta

Ski Trip!

I went here in January on a skiing trip with the company I work for. I’d never done skiing before but I absolutely loved it! We had an instructor called “Gigi”, who was brilliant.

I hope I’ll do this again!

Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County

Business trip to SLC

I stayed in Salt Lake City for a few days on a business trip. I was lucky enough to stay in the Hotel Monaco. I had great views through the city, and out over the desert and the mountains beyond.

This was also my first trip to the USA.

The city was clean and friendly. I had some great food and a couple of good nights out.
