Living Earth

Worth visiting!

A tip I have about this place

My favorite part about LE (besides the cafĂ©, which is awesome) is the peanut butter machine! It’s in the back, near the granola bins. You just pour in peanuts from the bucket above it, turn it on, and out comes delicious peanut butter!

Times Square Advertisements

Nerdy story...

So I was in Times Square with some fellow computer nerds, and someone got to wondering how much power all those signs used. Then someone asked, if it were powered entirely by people running on treadmills, how many people would be needed? After a lot of math and some debate about human physiology, we concluded that something on the order of 1,000,000 people (I can’t remember the exact figure) would need to be running on treadmills 24/7 to power all the ads.

Elm Park

Worth visiting!

A tip I have about this place

Don’t forget that Elm Park is not just the area with ponds & bridges where people walk their dogs… make sure to cross to the west side of Park St., climb the hill into the wooded area, and explore the trails! There is much that you will find…
