Well worth a visit, I visited in July and it was really hot and full of germans.

It is worth using the tram system as the metro is a real rip off and also go exploring, we went to the second castle in Prague, a real haven for peace after the first castle. And take the number 12 tram to the end of the line, it leads to a wonderful park with an open air swimming pool and lots of public access paths thro fields and gorges.

Lots of history too, just avoid the drunken Brits on stag and hen nights.

It is a real hidden gem of towns in Cumbria.

I lived there for 5 years and love the pubs, the location and the people.

Its is close enough to the lake district to be close, but far enough not to attract the tourists.

Recommend the coffee shops on Station Street, there are 3 which are all pretty good.

Excellent value for money, with some good resorts and some bad. Just do some research on other forums before you book.

Beach was great, pools at resorts were of mixed quality, but overall good value. Give it 5 years, americans move in and the resorts in their current state will change.
