If you aren’t into punk kids and pot smoke, this isn’t the place for you, otherwise, the kids are generally friendly if you are.

Hippies and Yuppies Galore

I lived in Ann Arbor for 13 years, and it never got dull. It’s not that big of a city, but there’re so many great restaurants, shops, places to hang out. I would strongly suggest the Fleetwood Diner if you’re looking for a greasy spoon with a nice atmosphere (as long as you’re not asthmatic). And the Get-up if you’re into vintage clothing at an affordable price.
