Got return flights from Liverpool for 10GBP last winter! 15 of us went and spent a long weekend in Oslo being silly. It was a really beautiful place and everyone we met was very friendly (apart from this ridiculously drunk Brit who absolutely hated me for some reason). I’d love to go back in summer when there’s more day light to visit the fjords on the western coast…

I spent New Year’s Eve 2001 on the beach in Ko Chang. It is, without a doubt, the most beautiful place I have ever been to. And I’ve been to a few.

Thailand is a fantastic place for tourists especially if you don’t have that much travel experience. Everything is incredibly easy; you don’t really have to try very hard for anything. Thai people are really friendly and you don’t get hassled nearly as much as in poorer countries. Living there exposes you to the nastier sides of the country (government corruption, sex tourism, business scams, contract killings…) but as a tourist destination it’s unbeatable!

I flew into Bangkok from Delhi after spending the worst imaginable week travelling through India from Nepal. After Dehli anywhere would have seemed nice but I fell in love with this hot, grimey, friendly city immediately and ended up living there for a year.

So many amazing things to see and do in this huge country. Americans have a really bad reputation in the rest of the world but that’s only a part of it: there are loads of really nice, intelligent people there too! Honestly!

I’m going to EXIT festival in Novi Sad, Serbia this July. Should be fun :)

The temples, tombs and ancient Egyptian relics are truly awe-inspiring. I wasn’t so taken with the people I met except in Sinai and everything is far too dry.

I’d never lived until I went to Corsica. Honestly. Because I was born there. Ha ha ha ho ho hmmmm yeah.
