I finally went to Disney World at 17 years old for Grad Nite at Magic Kingdom. It was the funnest night of my life.

Walt Disney World, Lake Buena Vista

Untitled

I think it’s the saddest thing in the world that I live in Florida, 4 hours away from Disney World, and have never even passed it. It’s like a part of my childhood I never experienced. But I’m a senior in high school now, and in April, we get to go to Grad Nite in the Magic Kingdom. So, if no complications occur in the next 4 months, I will have this goal completed :]

South Beach, Miami Beach

Untitled

Even though I live in Miami, I have never really explored South Beach since I’ve always been more up north Miami while SoBe is in the center, and my poor mother viewed it as a nest of sin, or whatever. I had been on a field trip to an art studio on Lincoln in the 5th grade but my memory is so hazy.

So this summer, when I got a volunteer gig at the Miami Children’s Museum, my friend, Alex, and I caught a bus there after work. The first time we were on Washington Ave, and had a snack at the Smithsonian. The second time, we went to Lincoln, because I had to look for a camera while Alex looked for pajamas at Victoria’s Secret. The thing was, we had to walk 9 blocks from where we were to get to our shops, which was a good way to get a glipse of everything. Street preformers, cute boutiques, Lincoln Theater preparing for the premiere of Miami Vice later that night- it was all so new to me.

I speant maybe only an hour there, most of it in Victoria’s secret, but it was worth it. Can’t wait to go back and experience it even more. Perhaps next time actually go to the beach.
