Bergamo

Worth visiting!

Untitled

Far and away my favorite city in Italy – it seemed like it would be really nice if there was a way to skip right over Milan and just end up in Bergamo. And then on to the lakes…

Santa Margherita

(in Italy > Liguria)

Worth visiting!

One of my favorite places that I’ve ever been.

Atlanta

Worth visiting!

Untitled

Not a bad place to visit for a week, if you know people there. Some fun bars and good people – but you must be prepared to drink, because living in Atlanta is so depressing that everybody drowns their sorrows. Which is fine by me, being a borderline alcoholic, but was really unhealthy when I was living there. If you like insulation, lack of a vibrant, interconnected cultural life, etc., ATL is the place for you.

That said, there are fun things to do here and there, so you could easily pack them into a week and have a good time. Also, the food is really excellent. I specifically recommend buffalo wings at Taco Mac. Those, a pitcher of Newcastle, an NBA game on the TV: that’s where I found happiness in Atlanta.

Kansas City

Not worth visiting!

I grew up there

What a strange, insulated city. If I didn’t have family still there, I couldn’t imagine going back. Great history, very bland present tense.

Kumasi

(in Ghana)

Worth visiting!

Like my 2nd home...

I miss it every day that I’m away.

Kigali

(in Rwanda)

Worth visiting!

I want to go back soon...

Fantastic, fun little city, that I would recommend to anyone looking for a trip to Africa. Also seemed like it would be a fine place to work, if you’re up for that kind of thing. I will say that I liked the rest of Rwanda much more than the capital, however.
