the worst highway in America. The 20 through MS. Seriously… I drove it so many times, and we always joked about writing a letter to the Governor about how bad they were.
I did a conference in Hattiesberg… what a strange little town.

I’ve only ever been here for work. I would love to go as a tourist sometime.
I went pretty quick after 9/11 and saw the pentagon missing pieces… it certainly made it real for me.

This may not be true… but…
I visited a McDonalds on some turnpike in the middle of nowhere Nebraska, and it claimed to be the largest in the world. It was above the freeway, and contained 2 gift shops. It also said it was smack dab in the middle of the US…

When I lived in Dallas, I got hired to go and pick up some sound equipment in Tulsa… its about 3 1/2 hours each way. I made it there fine, had lunch with a friend, picked up the gear, and promptly got lost on the way back to Dallas… ended up in Oklahoma City (the wrong direction) and ended up back in Dallas about 5 hours later then expected… it was fun… yee haw.

I worked at a camp for a couple of weeks a few summers in a row in Silver Springs, AR… right next to Oklahoma. I have also spent time in Little Rock. Someone there made some really freakin good baked ziti stuff at a church… When I moved back from TX to AZ, I locked my keys in my car in AR… I know its not directly in the path from TX to AZ, but… I had a good time.
