Want to see more of this city next time!
Only spent a couple of days wandering the streets here – our hotel was in Rome. If you do nothing else, you have to go to this chocolate shop Gay Odin (Via Vetriera, 12) and buy your own weight in Forestas. Then you can die happy. (After you’ve eaten it all, of course!)
You also have to go church hopping and eat pizza and go to the archiology museum and— you see why two afternoons is not enough! And yes it’s grubby and yes the train station is probably one of the best places in the world to get mugged (one guy looked like he was wondering how much he could get for my kidneys.) But really, who cares – as long as you’re smart and keep your eyes open, you’re as safe as you are in any city. Bon voyage!
