I just returned from a moving medical camp/trek in the Langtang area. It was awesome and spectacular. I would definitely endorse going. The trail we were on was challenging enough, with great views of the snowcapped peaks, with great camping spots. The people were super friendly too.
over 4 years agoWent with a medical team. We did a clinic in Huilloc and Patacancha (above Ollantaytambo), then a week of touring around. The Festival de la virgen del Carmen was crazy and awesome. Ollantaytambo and Machu Picchu were inspirational. It was tourist saturated, though.
