Chicago, Cook County

I love Chicago

Chicago is a very interesting place. Not quite as uptight as NYC, but not quite as liberal as California – sort of a middle ground on so many levels.

Good food, lots of culture, plenty to do. Only thing wrong with this place is the weather. Explain to me how it could be 100 degrees out, then pour rain, then be 100 degrees in the same day? That’s HOUSTON weather man!

And 10 feet of snow in the winter?

PS, Try the “italian beef”.

San Francisco, San Francisco Peninsula

Not feeling the love...

I grew up outside of San Francisco, and it definitely has it’s appeal, but it’s just not for me. I’ve never felt attached to San Fran and all I want to do now is leave California.

Why I don’t like San Francisco?

  • Too liberal
  • Too snobbish
  • Too “tree hugger”
  • Too gay
  • Too expensive

Why I don’t like California?

  • Politics are getting out of control
  • Taxes are getting out of control
  • Real estate prices are out of control
  • Welfare is out of control

San Francisco / Califoria will always be my home, but I don’t think it’ll be where I live.

And when sea levels start to rise.. watch out brother.

London, England

London, Great City!

London is both a young and old city. I lived right next to Waterloo Station, and the South Bank was my favorite place. Always lots of street performers, nice views of the river and whatnot. The dating scene in London is great, but it’s kind of expensive for Americans because of the weak dollar.

I worked in Canary Wharf, and it’s a real treat. New, clean, upscale – a totaly change from “old dirty london”. It was nice living in Central London and working on Canary Wharf, because I had sort of the best of both worlds.

What I miss? Walking. I walked and took the tube everywhere. I also miss those kebab shacks on every corner. Can’t find those in America, they’re just not quite the same.

I also miss how genuine everyone was. In the US everyone is so fake and uninterested, and BRAINDEAD. Everyone I met in London was so full of life.

Would love to go back.
