A tip I have about this place
Make sure you visit the ancient yew forest called Reenadinna Yew Wood. Lovely. Hard to find, but it is near Muckross House. Ask someone there.

The first time I went to this place
In 1974 I visited Horsforth for the first time with a group of high school juniors from Elgin, Illinois. We stayed with host families for 3 weeks and attended Benton Park Grammar School in Rawdon.
