very romantic, winding streets, good food and of course, lets not forget the port wine….

i cannot say how it looks now, but when i went (10 years ago) it was still quite beautiful and not overrun with tourists…the beach is top notch…

well preserved and worth a visit…make sure you climb the pyramid because the steps are becoming quite worn. someday, it may not be possible

Nothing you can do will prepare you for its majesty and staggering power. years ago when i was in high school i came across a copy of national geographic that had a huge article on angkor…at the time it seemed sooo far away, exotic and other-worldly…i promised myself that i would go see it up close for myself one day….it did not disappoint….in fact, it far surpassed my expectations…If you are the type of person that really likes ruins, collectively, this may be the most impressive in the world…allow yourself at least 3 days (i did 4) there is that much to see…

bring a flashlight, loose COTTON clothes that you wouldn’t mind getting dirty and skip the shooting range at the end (unless you like that sort of twisted thing). Most importantly, if you are claustrophobic DO NOT GO IN THE TUNNELS…

i cannot praise it enough…serene, colorful, excellent food …all top notch. i didn’t want to leave. i really hope to go back some day…

but not anymore…the service is lousy and the one thing that they used to be famous for, cheesecake, has become a joke…if you are traveling through nyc, skip it…this is coming from a native new yorker…

if you are the type of person who wants to travel halfway around the world and still eat Mcdonalds, pasta dishes and just be surrounded with all things western, head to khao san road in bangkok. i made the mistake of passing through there one night, became sick immediately (not in the literal sense) and couldn’t leave fast enough. it was overrun with frat boy types and loud tourists….don’t bother….please….

one of the highpoints was eating in this amazing resturant overlooking old fez late at night- breathtaking…the food was incredible, the people hospitable and warm and the scenery was great. i highly recommend a trip to chefchouen in the north as well
