this was my dear, sweet college town where i lived for 6 years. i worked at the freighthouse restaurant; great food, good times, drunk and stoned wait/barstaff. the campus is pretty with lots of trees. also, the numerous bars makes this a town of late nights and longer mornings. also, the music scene is pretty good for such a small town. do not go to onalaska. this neighboring town is full of stripmalls and bored housewives. no, not hot, desperate housewives either, but fat, sad, sad and fatty housewives just so sad of their fatness that the squishing noise of their hollow dreams will bring you to contemplate suicide. never venture to this fat and sad place. fat. sad.
