Istanbul, Turkey

Turkey 2011

I went on a cruise over the summer to Turkey, Italy, and Greece, and, let me just tell you, the most beautiful place I went on all of my trip was Turkey. The countryside is to die for, and the landscapes are beautiful. I was completely surprised at how much I enjoyed Turkey, considering all my excitement was mainly reserved for the all-talked about Italy and Greece. But I’m telling you, if you travel to Turkey, you will not be disappointed. The people are great, the food is great, the atmosphere is great; I would go back in a heartbeat.

England, Great Britain

England 2012

I went to England this past spring break with my school, and, I have to say, it was an awesome experience. Seeing all the things I’d learned about in school was completely surreal. Just seeing a red telephone booth on the side of the road was enough to do me over! Every day I woke up, I was excited to see another part of the great country. From the landscapes to the history to the atmosphere, England was wonderful. Every little thing was awe inspiring and magnificent. I want to go back!

Scotland, Great Britain

Scotland 2012

Scotland is absolutely breathtaking. While England is more about the history and the culture, Scotland is about the landscape. Everywhere you look invokes wonder and awe. I was definitely surprised how taken I was with the place.

As for suggestions, I would definitely say visit Hadrian’s Wall. Now, technically, this is in England at the moment, but I still consider it Scotland since it was in Scotland all those years ago. The view is magnificent and the history is rich too. For food, I would definitely try the haggis. Now, I know it sounds gross (go look it up if you don’t know what it is), but it really is good. They serve it pretty much everywhere, so there’s no excuse for not trying it. I’m sure you won’t regret it.
