I’ve ended up walking around here a few times after biking over the Golden Gate Bridge. It’s really a prepackaged place meant for tourists from Nebraska who think this is what California is about.

You can eat Mexican food, and go to other, better places in Orange County pretty easily!

A good place to live if you don’t like black people, I guess.

Biked through here on a San-Francisco-to-LA trip, it looked pretty suburban.

Worth visiting if you know somebody who lives here and they’re having a party, but probably not otherwise!

There’s a bookstore that’s worth going to one or six times! Also a movie theater that might open again someday.

Pretty desolate.

A cute beach town with arcades and working-class tourists.

Any place that has to put “pleasant” in the name, isn’t.

Worth visiting, especially if you’re a white person who wants to see Oakland without dealing with too many blacks!
